I think Daniel Day Lewis will win, and his performance was outstanding. However, Johnny Depp, who never shies away from the weird roles, ought to win for Sweeney Todd. He was beyond remarkable.

The talk is strong for DannyD but I'd also love to see Johnny Depp win it, even though Tim Burton directed him into somewhat of a Sweeney Scissorhands character. ;)

I would always hate to go up against Daniel Day Lewis on Oscar night. He's just an unbelievably talented actor. I think Michael Clayton was a better movie than There Will Be Blood, but there's no doubt in my mind that Clooney's role was an easier one than Lewis'. My money's on DDL.
