People have a very hard time minding their own business! You aren't affecting their life in any way by using your cell in a store, I can understand a restaurant but honestly in the frozen food section?! I often call my husband to make sure I'm buying the right thing or to see what he wants for dinner. I never use it in line, when someone is in close proximity to me with no choice. It's also rude to use it when the clerk is ringing up your items, hang up and says 'please and thank you' other than that tell them to mind their own!! Oh and one side note, it seems FAR ruder to me to actually chastize another ADULT in public than it is to use your phone in a grocery store.

Think about this - other than a ringing phone, what's the difference between talking on a cell phone and talking to someone next to you? Talking is talking. So what if you're talking on a cell phone in a grocery store? I agree with the other response. It was far more rude to chastize you for talking on your cell phone than it was to talk on the cell phone in the first place. People really do need to mind their own business, but some are so miserable they have nothing better to do than complain.

Just ignore them!

If your at a grocery store shopping, you can talk on your cell all you want. I would have been throwing their cart over if they said anything at all to me about being on my cell.

If somebody did that to me I'd tell them to mind their own business and keep on talking. That is so rude!!! You can do whatever you want in the store, as long as you're not doing anything illegal, like eating the food without paying for it.
