I had mine removed last year by laparoscopic surgery. I had pain getting up off the couch and out of bed for a few days. After the third day, I did not take anymore pain meds. Overall, the surgery and recovery went very well.
I had laparoscopic gall bladder surgery about six years ago, and although I was very sick afterwards because of a gall stone stuck in a bile duct, I don't recall the incisions or site of the surgery being painful. It was a great relief to feel good again after being in so much pain and being so sick. I don't recall having any pain. The incisions were very small and hardly noticable.
I had mine taken our almost 4 months ago and MY surgery went great. I came out of recovery at 10:15 am and by 12 I was ready to go home. They wouldnt let me but I had no problems. I came home relaxed for recommended week with no pain killers.
