Help answer this question below.

I got a refferal for a specialist once for a serious medical condition. He said to me, "Brace yourself, this is going to hurt", so I did. Then he laughs and says, "HaHa, just kidding". I never went back to him again. Who thinks that was inappropriate?

    I think that is inappropriate - doctor's typically think that they are far funnier than they actually are, case in point: I once broke all the bones in my foot and was in extradorniary pain, the man taking my ex-rays began whistling then singing 'walk like an Egyptian' and was laughing. I looked at him and said, Laughter is only the best medicine when the person laughing is the one in pain...
