  • That's what Communism tried to do. Communism really being " for the people". But greed by the top people stopped it working. Russia or China, the result was the same. The few at the top living in luxury while the remainder struggled. At least n a democracy, a person born into poverty can strive to reach the top in earning potential.   • It is not that Capitalistic economics can't put a cap on wealth which should be done, but people in power are wealthy and would have to share thier wealth,if there were rules dictating sharing wealth.I can not understand how some rich hoard thier money,that is not true capitalism.
  • Capitalist governments TAX income and distribute it in ways the "society" determine are beneficial. "Excessive profits" are the source of much of the charitable giving in the world. By the way, the wealthiest people on Earth live in oligarchic countries ruled by royalty. The Saudis' are the first that come to mind. Are they an example of philanthropy?
