  • I would be very reluctant to use pro audio monitors in a home audio system, since the two environments are not the same. Pro audio equipment often sacrifices quite a bit of refinement and accuracy for higher efficiency and ruggedness, neither of which are particularly important in home audio systems. I would sell your Soundlab monitors and buy a pair of speakers designed for the home audio market.
  • The answer to "will it work " is yes they will. The answer to "will they sound good" is up to you. If your stereo has a decent power output in the range of 150 watts then these speakers should operate fine. Trying to drive them with a low power amplifier will result in the speakers being under driven and the stiffness of the suspensions will rob some dynamics and frequency range. TRY THEM and see for yourself you will not damage either the stereo nor the speakers.
