science_geek, you are spreading utter nonsense. Whatever has caused you to be so bitter about the church is not an excuse for spreading patently false misinformation. This doctrine simply doesn't exist. There is, however, Biblical precedent for the idea that Apostles will bear partial responsibility for judging mankind: "Ye [the apostles] are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel." (Luke 22:28-30; see also Matt. 19:28)

No. Mormon Bishops are considered a "judge in Israel," (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishop_%28Latter_Day_Saints%29#Duties) which has been interpreted to include all people in their ward boundaries, whether LDS or not. However, as has been mentioned in some of the comments, this role as judge only extends to during the narrow period of time when they are alive and presiding as Bishop over that area--it has never to my knowledge been interpreted as having to do with the Last Judgment.

Wow new to me, interesting I must say. This religion goes deeper then I imagined. I guess I didn't learn much only being there two years, but I learned enough to know it's false :D

Don't know about that teaching BUT ONE THING I CAN BELIEVE, the mormons have some secret teachings that the general population may never hear. Even their general membership.

No. Our Mormon Bishops are human beings like you and I. So how could an imperfect person judge another imperfect person? Jesus Christ will be the judge for all mankind. A Bishop's job is to make sure the physical, mental, emotional, financial, etc. problems of each member are taken care of. And the Bishops are responsible for all members in their distinct area. The people who are not members, the Bishops will try and reach out to them as well, but if they are not willing to accept the gospel, then as long as the Bishop tried he will not be judged for it.

I can't imagine anything they teach at all, to be true. I think the religion is so full of falsehoods that there would be no way to recognize anything with even a little bit of truth to it.

no, they believe we will be judged by the same one who will judge us all. GOD
