Do you use an ice cream scoop when you get a bowl of ice cream at home, or do you just use a spoon?

Usually a scoop, but a spoon works fine in times of need. :)

I use a spoon. We're newly married technically still, and that means we are poor so why go buy a luxury like a scoop, when a spoon works. :-P

We use a stainless steel scooper. I do not understand why it states not to wash the ice cream scoop in the dishwasher. Any ideas?

we actually have 1 or 2 ice cream scoops, but I always just use a spoon.
