  • What helped me get over my shyness (well, social anxiety disorder techincally) was acting/theatre. Find out if you could take a class in acting through a school or community center. It really helps with feeling like you're going to embarrass (sp?) yourself, whether it's in front of your crush or a crowd of strangers. And in my experience most people who aren't shy just hide their nervousness better. Good luck!
