Can you edit an answer that you have already posted?

Sure. Click on the "Edit" function at the top of the answer. You will then see a screen with "You are in Answer Edit Mode" or similar, at the top of the text box. Edit, hit "Update" below the text box, and you're good to go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ superpanda2, the ability to edit answers is now almost sacred. In the transition from ABag 1 to ABag 2, a software glitch made editing answers impossible, and there was no quick fix. Most of us discovered said glitch when we needed the edit function, but found only frustration. I doubt that unhappy little surprise will repeat itself. We probably drove the staff crazy.

You can edit your answer at any time. You cannot fully erase an answer although with editing it could read completely differently to your first attempt.

YOu can always edit an answer but you can't erase or delete it. You can edit a question for a few minutes after posting it but you have to be quick. And there isn't much time to edit a comment either.
