because some of them don't believe that we believe in the same god, and the things that do separate them - christians and the trinity, muslims and muhammed (pbuh) and the holy lands...there's going to be a lot of people overlooking the similarities and just picking at the differences because that's what makes THEM right and the rest wrong

They fight over who has the real imaginary friend.

Because people like to be right and they want their way to be the most significant of all…they don’t care that you believe in the same thing as they do as long as you believe in it the same way they do..you know what I mean? Its ridiculous..this is how wars start..over a way of thinking..all of us think differently..that doesn’t mean we have to hate each other

Muslims believe that Mohammed was the final prophet. His message replaces all others. Thus they believe the older God centered faiths are obsolete. Plus they think the Jews do not belong in Isreal, even though the Arabs did not migrate into that part of the world until centuries after the ancient ancestors of the modern Jews had already been there. Plus, Muslims are not comfortable that Christians and Jews, at least in principle, see the danger in combining religion and government. The idea of secular government is inconcievable to most Muslims. I guess they think Judeo-Christians are pretty dumb to have fought bloody wars for centuries just to accomplish the simple civilization advancement of getting mysticism out of government. Anyway, there you go.

"History does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has any rational basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the unknown without help. But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from fiddling with it." - Robert A. Heinlein Hope this helps.
