  • The scar tissue depends on a lot of things. 1. how long you had the two previous piercings 2. were there infections involved 3.can you feel the scar tissue in your tongue?? The Piercer will tell you if its a good idea or not. I can tell you now that going to get your tongue done for the 3 time will hurt more then the previous(if the Artist says ok!) scar tissue sucks to pierce, its thicker and tougher to get the needle trough. Honestly i am sure you could do it again, i have a few friends who have done it at least 5 times if not more! Enjoy your new Piercing if you do get it done :)
  • Over time, "normal" blood vessels and nerve connections should grow back through the tissue (especially in a small area like a piercing), which will mean that the longer you wait between re-piercings, the more chance there will be for pain associated with the piercing. On the other hand, if you do it right away, the nerves will likely be more sensitive due to the fact that you've just caused them a lot of trauma with the original piercing. Ultimately, you're going to be best off if you decide whether or not you want the piercing, and then stick with that decision. Hope that's helpful!
