Guys and gals- i'm waiting before i have sex for a girl i don't neccessarily love to death but i really like and have feelings for. Does this make me a better or more respectable person, or just a sad loser who can't get any action??? :-(

Sex is not love, love is not sex. Sex can be found in love, and many lovers do have sex to express that love. However not everyone must have sex to express love. This is why our language has such things as "really like" because love "feels" like a powerful (too powerful) word, and its hard to decide where like becomes love. Most likely you already have love going on here. It may be a bit more time before that love grows to the point of love's passion (where sex takes place). In the case of respectability, that depends on what conditions you have set for yourself. And actually your best lover will be your best friend too. Think about it, how can you spend the rest of your life with somebody you don't like? You can't. Waiting is a good thing - see what happens, when the time is right you will know.

i think people should wait, not neccasarily to love but to trust the person you will be very intamate with i have more respect for people that wait for feelings i dont know y i think its a good idea to sleep with som1 only when you really know and trust this person untill then its not important

no. wait untill u love them. U will know when u truly love them, and ull be ready. Not having sex wouldnt make u a loser at all. just think what if... -u got her pregnant? (condoms dont always work) -U got an std also it will affect ur relationship badly, it willnot bring u closer if ur not there in the relationship yet. u have to learn how to walk before u can jump so u have to fall in love before u have sex. Its ultimatly ur choice but consider the consenquences.

Well.. ur certainly not a sad loser. I lost my virginity when i was 15 and i dont like to think that is irrespectable. so in my opinion it doesnt make u a more respectable person bt ur first time should be significant and loving. The fact u are waiting is perfectly fine and u shouldnt be rushed into anything.:)

Doesn´t matter. Just be sure what you want. If you want to have sex - go for it. If you want to wait - wait. Just don´t feel bad that you do anything bad or just becouse people think that´s good to do it.
