  • I think so.my names laura and I was named after a song called "tell laura i love her".people start singing it to me in the pub and expect a tragic love story off me.God only knows why thou :)
  • Not my name...it's nothing special.
  • I think our names affect the way people treat us. not because of the meaning like if your name means princess then they treat you like a princess. I think it is more if you have a memorable name then people remember you but if you have a complicated name then no one wants to try and pronounce it.So when naming a child you have to be carful and think what it would be like for them in the workplace. People judge off first impressions even if they don't know it and sometimes if you have some made up and ridiculous name then they won't consider you as their first choice no matter how qulified you are. i have seen it happen many times and I even did a research paper on it in college, which I found a lot of imformation that kind of shocked me. No one and nothing is above being discriminated over so if you are have a child and thinking about naming them after a car, alcholic drink or emotion I think you should really consider what future you are giving your child. No matter how well you treat them that doen't mean everyone else will.
