That was a wonderful move by the Ravens. The two men who dominated the voting for AP coach of the 2008 season, Mike Smith and Tony Sparano, were both one and done in the playoffs. John Harbaugh, who persuaded a veteran team to buy in to a tougher training camp and to embrace a rookie quarterback, didn’t earn a single vote. Based on the results of the first two weeks of the playoffs, Harbaugh deserves the prize more than either Smith or Sparano.
