My husband and I have traveled a great deal of it as we don't like bigger roads, interstates and toll roads. If we can, we get off the main roads and it's just great to drive RT66! I love driving it and pretending I'm back in the 60s:-)

I live in St. Louis, and I live 3 blocks from part of old Route 66 (the part of town I live in, Route 66 is Chippewa Street). I drive on it every day to and from work, and to go shopping...it's a major cross street by my house. I would love one day (if I had the time and money) to drive the length of it.

No, but it's something I'd like to do!!! Even if it's a section of it. It's part of what we've lost. Would be fun to drive it, take pics, write in journal, maybe even interview (record) a few folks. Had even thought I'd be driving it this year, but don't think the timing is good for that. But one day, I want to answer this with a YES .. no matter how small the way .. just .. a YES.
