I have been around south america, Most notably did a 5 day hike through the ande's mountians. From bottom to top, not that many.

Many, most over 10,-12,000 feet in the western states. We used to hang out in the Sierra Nevada and up in the Canadian Rockies.

I lived in Bozeman MT for a while and we were already above 4,000ft. So I assume you mean 4,000 ft that you had to climb. I hiked many times through the Beartooth wilderness and went to the top of several mountains over 11,000ft which would be 5,000 ft climb. They were just by hiking, no climbing really.

I climbed a 2,628 meter once from the bottom in a day (the bottom was at about 800 meter). (That's about 8621.94 ft) I am sure there were more smaller ones, but I don't exactly remember. Probably eight.
