I think I understand the question (Why can't we edit questions??). From what I've heard, the DRV (Douay Rheims Version) was translated with a less advanced understanding of ancient languages and was translated based on Vulgate Latin to English. KJV (King James Version) is translated using a more thorough understanding of the Aramaic history and much more understanding of Greek and especially Hebrew scripts. Most dedicated Catholics and those favoring Latin will side with the DRV due to the elegant nature of the writings, but modern etymologists agree that the KJV is far more accurate. After much research, I actually went to the NLT (big difference) which is a new translation for modern day that goes back to the scripts used for the KJV. Unfortunately most new versions are translated from the KJV itself. Please feel free to correct me, I'm not usually into this stuff.
