I'd PREFER to be tan, but living where I do, It can't exactly happen naturally. And I hate fake tan. So unless I've been on holiday, I'm pale. But pale suits me...yeah, I'll still go with tan.

I'd prefer to be tan, but I'm content being translucent. I'll never be able to acheive a tan, so I find it's best to be happy with what you have. :)

Pale and I don't have a choice. I don't tan, I burn. I also do not fancy a future with skin cancer.

I have red hair & green eyes which apparently locks you in with a ghost like complexion that refuses to get one of those latino looking tans. I would love to have a pretty tan but I just turn into a dalmation with white skin & poka dots(freckles) when I try to get one. But I've learned to live with my casper like complexion over the years & like it.

I'd prefer to be tan...and I can tan quite well, actually. But since I refuse to take the time to get a natural tan (SOOO boring sitting outside in the sun) and I HATE fake tans, I go with pale most of the time. Besides, it's not worth the potential skin cancer, thanks.

tanning causes wrinkles so I'll stay pale and wrinkless.... or fewer anyway.

I love being pale. I love it. I don't really care for tan lines. Plus, it's always easy to find my shade in make up. I've also heard that it adds a degree of elegance to my appearance. =]

Pale. I can't tan, I'm a redhead (the white kind with no freckles). I tried fake tan once but it didn't suit me. I like pale skin on men, and I like that english rose look for women. I think a tan often looks a bit tacky, unless it is natural skin tone.

Seems that a tan looks like you've been out and about. I don't sunbathe though.

I actually really love being pale. It's really pretty, as long as you use blush/have pink healthy cheeks. That way, instead of a sickly paleness, it's more of a fairy-tale-princess pale.
