  • My background is mainly German. Although there is Irish, Welsh, and English molded in there as well.
  • Mine dates right back to the war of the roses. My family was one of the great families and supporters of the Duke of York and helped raise an army to ward off the Lancastrians. We got beat at the battle of Wakefield (Sandal Castle) for which the famous song The grand old duke of York who had 10,000 men. was written about.
  • Romanian Rromani (3/4) and Gadje (1/4... my grandfather). The Gadje side goes back to Poland and the Rromani, well, are Rromani. History tells the story of the Rromani in Romania.

  • Scottish, Scottish and Scottish, with one or two Irish thrown in. I have family trees for my father's side of the family back to 1620 but only early 1800s for my mother's side.

  • My grandmother on my mother's side is a genealogist so she knows our family's history back from God knows when. From what she's told me over the years, the first McCuen came over from Scotland in 1790. On my father's side, we've got English and French ancestry. Our ancestral motto is "Steadfast in the right" which I've always thought was very cool. :)

  • 100% Chaldean and proud of it. Our ancestry dates back to 2000 BC and it is rich of history. Chaldeans also speak Aramaic, Jesus' language, and I'm so proud to know it! :)
  • To date, based on genealogical research and family history, I've determined African, Austronesian, Cherokee, Choctaw, Nansemond, German, Irish, English, French and Mexican. Some of my ancestors were free persons of color who fought in the American Revolutionary War. Others (African and Irish) were brought here as slaves. Some fled oppression in Germany and others were pretty much always here. ;) It's been fascinating to learn the stories of these people.
