I do, i will have had it exactly 2 years on the 28th of this month, the cause of mine is a prolapsed disc in my back trapping nerves in my spine and i get sciatica in my left leg and it is extremely painful, What are they doing about it? have you had scans? To a doctor sciatica can heal itself or you can endure it for a lifetime, if you are not convinced get a second opinion

I have just been diagnosed as "a compression fracture of L1(vertebrae) with approximately 40% height loss. A degree of compression of the superior end plate of L3 is noted..........there is mild apophyseal joint osteoarthritis without signifcant disc space narrowing." The fracture was caused by a seizure I had three years ago when I was really ill...now it has become painful in my leg..and it also is causing my right leg to collapse at times...next stop CAT scan..but they are giving me good drugs to help with the pain.

I have suffered from Sciatica for 8 years. At the mo the pain is so bad that i am having spasms, every 3 mins. Last night i only got about 1hrs sleep,Yu cannot get comfortable,I take amtriptilne 25mg at night, and usually take codiene tablets for the pain during the day, the only downfall with these tablets are they make yu drowsy, and look like a zombie. Have also just found out that it is my L3,L4,L5 giving me these major problems. Does anyone feel depressed with the back pain? hope this helps.

i have had this pain for about 5 years and I'm only 25!!! I have always been very active and athletic throughout my childhood so I don't know what could have caused this. The only causes I can think of are one, working a job where I had to work very long hours and lifting heavy things all the time or second, sleeping on an air mattress after coming back from a gruelling night at work. I still haven't found a solution to this and my life has been to miserable due to this I think I'm going to kill myself if I don't find a solution soon.
