  • Chef schools are becoming increasingly popular but I will warn you that many graduates find trouble in job placement. There are indeed plenty of job openings, but the jobs that are available pay nowhere near what the graduates are looking for.   • My cousin went to culinary school and 18 months later landed a very good job, but the same is not true for everyone. Culinary school is only 18 months, why not also get at least an associates in something (preferably technical) and you will have a back up plan.
