How can I host my own websites online without going through a hosting company? I have servers, I know the technical stuff, but how do I get "internet space"?

There are many ways to answer this. In short, you'll need a computer that is always on, an installation of a web server such as Apache or IIS on a system with enough free HDD space to contain the contents of your site with growing room, and a static IP.
