That's nothing new, they've been doing that for years.

Speaking of the NBC debates? They can decide who is in it and who is not because they are paying for it and the air time. When the Dems pay for their debates, they include all candidates. I wonder why, when he does not have a shot in hell, the other candidates aren't raising a stink about it. The liberals are all for equality and against big corporation power, but when the inequality and corporate power benefits them they shut the hell up. F'ing hypocrites.

There comes a point in the election cycle where it is clear certain candidates do not have a snowball's chance to win. In order for a more in-depth debate to occur those on the periphery (generally less than 5-10%)are ultimately excluded. "someguy" also has a valid point. The debates occur at network expense and they are free to determine the ground rules and who appears. If they choose unwisely, they lose audience share and can suffer economic loss.

..the chance of Dennis Kucinich being the Democratic nominee for president is non-existent. The interest lies with the Obama/Clinton battle, with Edwards there to counterbalance the two. Kucinich may be your guy, but you are in the minority...February 5 is the big enchilada in terms of Primaries...the more people that participate in the debates, the more watered-down is the mix...the viable candidates get less time to explain their views. Time is getting short and we need to hear the views of the main players.
