  • I don't think so... but all those Black Jewish girls are going to be PISSED.
  • It is your money and can do with it what you please
  • Kinda. I mean, there are scholarships out there for everyone else, but I just hate this kind of group inequality.
  • Of course not, though you will be called a racist several well known people :).
  • It's your money. You can do with it as you wish. There are those that may call you a bigot for setting those criteria, but I think that would be applying a double standard. There are lots of scholarships out there that are specifically for various minorities. So, why are those that set them up not called bigots as well. So, set up the criteria for your scholarship however you want.
  • Nope. Nothing that many other groups don't do every day.
  • It's not wrong - there are all sorts of scholarships that are specific to race/ethnicity. Howver, I am sure that you would hear all sorts of objections. You can do what you want to with your money.
  • You can do as you please but what happened to equal opportunity in the land of the free?
  • 'course not..if those are "your people" you can do what you want with your money. Now, would I do that? No..I'd provide a scholarship for the most needy talented person..I wouldn't care if he/she were striped, plaid, or green..but hey, it's your money to do with as you wish.
  • No, a scholarship is always a good thing. Yes, there are scholarships with strings attached and racially biased. No, there is nothing wrong with that, but it shows what kind of person you are.
  • You serious?
  • No,it is always good if someone puts up a scholarship. Yes, there are scholarships with racial and religious strings attached. No, it is not a bad thing, but people will just know what kind of person you are.
  • Not if the scholarship is limited to certain kinds of schools, then I wouldn't mind it being set up, just as long it's not going to one of the schools that I prefer.
  • There is nothing wrong with that. Kids these days need all the help they can get to receive an education. You could set it up for just people from broken homes and it would still be OK.
  • I don't think so. Just make sure it is listed directly alongside such other scholarships such as those only available to African Americans (United Negro College Fund, etc.) or Hispanics only, Italians only, Females only... I think you get the idea. I cannot abide it when people who support minority scholarships and other programs cry "RACISM" if someone tries to do something specifically for caucasians.
  • Hell no. It's perfectly fine to do that. I've been looking for scholarships and so many of them are specific to minority groups like black or native but there's none for whites so I think it would be great if you did that.
