Only the people that understand what mental illness truly is are the normal ones. The rest that don't understand are crazy.

I think the "sane" and the "insane" are just on different wavelengths that's all.

Not if they're talking about Dahmmer, Bundy, or other such good looking, outwardly normal, but inwardly twisted mothers.

the frenchman, Jacques-Marie-Émile Lacan has many theories on said thought. he actually believes that those we consider "crazy" are the ones who are really liberated and "in touch". really interesting stuff if you ask me.

many times, they understand us but we don't understand them.so they are probably the normal ones, just look at our politicians, especially the ones running for the oval office.

No. While "normal" is a subjective term, I see "normal" as "wanting to live as long and productive a life as possible." The desire to do so is the important point, whether you are capable of doing so or not, and should not be confused with "wanting to live long past the point where your life is no longer useful to you." People who are branded with the term "mental illness" typically have a mental illness which is self-destructive. Even mania is self-destructive as while you don't want to harm yourself and/or die, you will damage your body with your constant lack of inhibition and long periods without sleep. Mania isn't "the desire to live as long and productive a life as possible" because you are focusing on productivity and ignoring your physical life. Self-destructive attitudes go against "living a life as long and productive as possible", so people with those conditions are definitely not normal.
