I have a 2002 Jeep Gran Cherokee. The heater will only blow air out of the defroster. I have checked all the fuses, replaced the control knob panel but no matter what position I place the knob in it will only blow out through the defroster. Suggestions?

You have a vaccum hose thatz connects to your vaccum box under battery tray. Its located near passenger Headlight. Assembly, might have to remove headlight. Assembly. Replaced vaccum hoses w new if cracked or reconnect vaccum hose that may come loose. Also look on driver side of lower climate. Control section.See if level come attached.

Pull the glovebox out and look for a control arm or vacuum line that leads up to the defroster area.
Possibly a vacuum leak or the contol arm that moves the diverter door is off.
