  • Because there is a double standard when it comes to racial issues. Like I have said time and time again, if there was a channel called "White Entertainment Television", there would be serious trouble from that!
  • I imagine this is an American thing. Because i have never heard that one, here, Africa or Europe.
  • You have to consider who is the primary rulers of the world today. I have been to over forty different countries and at most of them we dare not brag our pride as being American.
  • Because to display your pride as being 'white' is racist. Try displaying your pride as Irish, Italian, German, Polish, etc. There are many accepted parades and pride days for specific nationalities. Honestly, black pride is a generalization of a large group of individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Unfortunately not all black people are able to trace their origins. Therefor, black pride is more easily accepted. If a Hispanic person celebrates Mexico (or other), that's great. But when a person celebrates the fact that their race is superior or more deserving than another race, then it's wrong.
  • Firstly no-one would appreciate it if I went around painted in blue woad all over my body, it stinks. I am very proud of my Pictish ancestry but I don't need to show it to everyone it is enough that I know.
  • Because 'white' really isn't an ancestry. "White' typically implies a European descent and therefore the ancestry would be of a specific origin.
  • Double standard
  • Who knows? Probably because such displays REMIND people of supremacist or Nazi groups. Supremacist and Nazi groups SCARE people, so it's easy to see why pride displays by white people are (unfairly) misjudged. Kinda off the subject but, my cat loves to go out. Today he went out and approached a dog. The dog barked and scared my cat, who ran quickly back into the house. Now he doesn't want to go out. The cat associates OUTSIDE with DANGER. Of course it's not ALWAYS dangerous, but that one incident scarred him. Now take white people. Some white people A LONG TIME AGO used to do terrible things to minorities. These actions, for the most part, no longer occur, but the psyche of the country has become so scarred that they associate "white pride" with "hurting minorities". Until the scarring heals, I suspect people will continue to impose what many feel is a double standard against white pride organizations.
  • as long as you're not flying a swastika its all good.
  • double standard and a bunch of cry babying
  • There isn't exactly a "white" flag. A white person's ancestry trypically is that of a particular European nation, and its flag.
  • They aren't. People proudly flaunt their Irish heritage, or Italian ancestry or whatever. Nobody (to my knowledge) complains about "Little Italy" or St.Patrick's Day parades.
  • If you wear a tattoo that reads "White Pride" it's a dead giveaway for being a Nazi.
  • Well, "white" isn't really a nationality. I don't see anyone having a problem with someone being proud that they're French, or Swiss, etc, but just "white" is a different story. "White-pride" sure seems racist to me.
