it doesnt go anywhere. when you breathe in water, you make bubbles and those bubbles are only little round spaces filled with oxygen so those oxygen bubbles rise to the surface of the water where they pop and join all the other oxygen out there.

You're going to have to be some kind of fish if you breath in water but if you do, it goes to your lungs. Just like any other oxygen you breath in. The oxygen you exhale floats to the surface of the water in bubbles and pops when it reaches the top.
