I had the same problem on a 1986 blazer. On my vehicle the vacuume fitting below the throttle body was plugged. Follow the large vacumme hose from the brake booster to the Throttle body. Make sure this hose has no kinks or holes in it. Where this hose connects to the engine is the area you need to look at. The fitting may be plugged and need cleaned. Take the hose off and spray throttle body cleaner into the fitting. If you feel up to it, remove the throttle body and clean the fitting that way.
You may be out of or low on brake fluid, have a kink or blockage in the brake lines, have a seized caliper, etc. Hard to say.

1997s10 goes into 4hi ok but i have to put it in reverse to get it into 2hi replaced the servo,dash switch,transfercase accuatorswitch,fluid

You're reading I ride some 1988 chevrolet blazer s10 but i observe that the brakes pedal was hard and it was not easy to stop the car at the right time so i drove slow because the brake was not effective, i need to know what is the problem with the brake system for this
