As long as the hole is simply in a section of the exhaust pipe, then a competent exhaust shop should be able to slice out that part and weld in a new section. Should cost about $30-50, but this depends on how much needs to be replaced, the time it takes the guy, and the labour rate.
From what you describe I don't think any new parts, per say, are needed. Just a new section of exhaust pipe.

My 17 yr old son took my car and had a shop remove the catalytic converter and put in a straight pipe. Can I make the shop put it back on?

You're reading My car has a catalylic converter and my exhaust has a hole in it under the driver seat, can i just replace this part of the pipe or do i need to replace the whole thing and any idea around how much this might cost?
