  • Everyday. Because I look for inspiration and I have always done it. And since it works for me I will carry on.
  • LOL..this answer is gonna nuke me..but I have read it..I dont put any more stock in the words than any other book..It is a book that is full of contradictions and therefore I just found it to be a semi interesting novel. :)
  • Every few days I read a small part of it so I can answer someone's question about it, or respond to someone's argument from it. Don't believe in it, as is probably obvious, but I still read it.
  • Never. but I read it once before.
  • I've never read it, but I will. I want to read them all. (holy books, that is)
  • I read it everyday. When you take food atleast thrice a day for your physical body, your spirit also needs nutrition in the form of God's words from scriptures.
  • Honestly,not that often.^_^
  • Never! Why? Because I don't like fiction.
  • Daily.
  • I read the Bible daily. I think it is honest to God truth, and if you answered daily to this question because you're Christian, add me to your list.
  • I strive to read daily however, I fall short much of the time. I believe in the Word of God and prayer. I believe it is our only hope.
  • I read it often enough, because I like to criticize it and those that believe in it.
  • I read the Bible everytime I have to explain to someone why I'm not a Christian. It works out to every few weeks.
  • At least every Sunday in church. I'm a Christian, and am not ashamed in the least.
  • no, I used to then I opened my mind
  • G'day Tony888, Thank you for your question. I don't read the bible because I am not a Christian. Regards
  • nope. not Christian.
  • No, I'm not a Christian.
  • Yes I do, every day. This week I am reading Matthew Chapters 26-28 with my congregation. In my personal Bible reading I am reading the Bible Book of Numbers this week. “The green grass has dried up, the blossom has withered; but as for the word of our God, it will last to time indefinite.” (Isaiah 40:8) All of the opposition, prejudice and misinformation leveled against God’s Word will that you see today ( many times on the website), not prevail. For God is its author and preserver. The fact that it has lasted thousands of years despite repeated, frenzied attempts to destroy it is eloquent testimony that God has preserved his Word in the past and will do so in the future.
  • Yes I have on a number of occasions. I did so however, only to gain insight into christianity as one of the three Abrahamic faiths. At the time, I was attempting to enhance my understanding of 'Comparative Religions' and interfaith dialogue. Im not a christian.
  • Never anymore. I only read it to point out how fake, violent, and sick the bible truly is.
  • First: the Bible wasn't written in verses. The numbered verse system was added later to aid in finding scripture. As such, it's pointless to look at one verse and compare it to anything else. Regardless, I see your confusion. It's quite simple actually. I love my dad! He's an awesome man that taught me a lot, loved me a lot, etc... But when I screwed up and disobeyed him, I was scared about what he was going to do for my punishment. The same thing applies to God. Love him with all you've got. But your fear of his ability to punish should drive you away from disobedience. I would really like to see other controversies you've found, whether you believe what I'm saying or not!
  • I read the Bible every once in a while,or once in a blue moon. I read it because it's interesting.
  • I read the bible (not as often as I should) because I am of the Christian faith and the bible is central to christianity.
  • yes i read the bible. i read it when things are going really bad in my life.....i turn to the book that deals with what i am currently going through. i read it to try and get some clarity and clear prospective on my situation
  • Every day .
  • I try to read it every day. I find instruction and comfort when I do. And it's just plain good reading at times. It's a great jumping off point for more research and study and being an information junky that suits me just fine:-)
  • I don't read it at all, I am not religious. The parts of the bible that were read to me as a child seemed to have very little to do with modern life. I do not understand how people can use the bible as a strict guide on how they should live their lives. I believe it to be a collection of "stories" written many years ago and I do not see how people can take them so seriously. I do not think that when the bible was written, the people who wrote it did so for it be followed as a "how to live your life" book. I do not understand people who look to the bible for the answers to all of their problems in life. I do would never belittle a person who reads the bible and who has strong beliefs but it is not for me. I do not press my opinions onto people and prefer people not to press theirs onto me. If you do not agree with the opinion I have expressed here, please do not downrate me - I am just being honest.
