  • I'm unsure what MOT is, but it depends on how much you're paying for it compared to low blue book. It would be worth paying either a Mitsubishi service department or independent mechanic to check it out.Cars do need to be driven.
  • If the MOT test is up to date, that is a good sign. I would certainly take it direct to a dealer for a full going over. When I look for a used car, I always pay a mobile service person to come over and check it out before I buy it.
  • If it has sat for a years I would.. Check tires for cracking and dry rot. Change all fluids and filters don't forget the brake fluid. I would expect there to be rust on the brake rotors. It may be fine at first but then develop a pulse in the brakes. This would be hard spots in the rotors. The would need to be replaced. Turing them would only solve the problem for a little while then the problem would return. I would replace all the engine drive belts Think about having the timeing belt replaced. It may be ok but if it breaks you can destroy the engine. Get a tune up and lube job. Open the hood and spray down all the plastic and rubber with Armor All (do this before replacing the belts. It is quite a list but these are the thing that don't like to sit. Good luck
