  • Contact the bank and say you think your checks where stolen
  • Go to the bank and tell them what happened.
  • Contact your bank. Tell them your checks are either lost or stolen ... have them put a "stop payment" on the check #s from the missing book and get some new checks ... and of course, while you are at it, get and memorize the routing number.
  • contact your bank immediately..have them put a stop on all the missing cheques..tell them what happened. They deal with this all the time:)
  • I work at a bank, what I recommend is if you are really concerned that your checkbook is stolen or lost, you should just close your account and re-open a new one all together. Your checks have your account number on them, and it leaves your account compromised. I know it sounds tedious, but with how identity theft is such a huge problem these days its better to be safe than sorry. Trust me, being a victim of it sucks and it doesnt take very much for thieves to get in! Not only do they steal from you but it takes a very VERY long time to recover because the bank and the police need to investigate the situation. So that I know is a headache itself. But anyway, if you want my opinion I wouldn't risk it! Hope this helps!
