No, it's just the fundies that are too deluded to understand a story that actually endorses (to a point) what their religion preaches. Then again what can you expect of fundies? They stopped evolving a little earlier than the rest of us.

Good grief NO. The seventh & last book has many Judeo-Christian overtones. Harry, while not represented as perfect, is ready to give his life to save others. We see a version of soul and afterlife. The people who use wizardry for evil are evil; the people who use it for good are good. People make mistakes, are sorry, ask forgiveness; and love is the basic element that powers the good. And so on. Nothing in the books is at all likely to cause Christians to choose the dark side.

No matter who puts what out there on the market, it is going to offend somebody and their belief. Those that do not understand the concept of 'fiction' and carry a lavish tounge will be the first online.

Actually, if one even has to ask this question, perhaps they should open their eyes by reading a book about a delusional psycopath who murders babies and condones rape, incest and slavery. It's called the Bible btw and guess who the psychopath is...

I would say, no. I am studying to be a pastor and have read all 7 novels and have seen the movies. We certainly do not believe what the movies say but they are just movies. Use your common sense in watching it, realize it is just entertainment nothing different from reading or watching the Lord of the Rings. The important thing is that you don't believe it, if you recognize that it is fiction then it is just entertainment.

no, can you say FICTION! I get sick of my job getting picketed when we have a Harry potter release.
