  • It was considered to be attractive in Mayan culture to be cross-eyed.They achieved the cross-eyed look by tying a bead on the front of a childs head so it dangled between the eyes,the child would then become cross-eyed looking at the bead. They also considered flattened foreheads to be beautiful,so while their skulls were still soft,babies had a wooden frame attached to them to flatten the forehead.
