I have so many songs in my heart from when I was growing up. Between my dad, my mom, and my grandpa there is always a song playing in my heart. And I hope to one day teach them to my children.

Nope. My family was the kind who thought families who sang together were weird. I guess it was like a "mushy" thing to my family, and they are certainly not like that! So I've always been way to self-conscious to do that (let alone get vocal at a kids sports game or anything). I certainly don't think there is anything wrong with it. In fact, I wish my family was closer and more nurturing like that.

Yes! We all sang, and my mother could play anything on the piano. My sons and I find some time to sing when we get together - some of the old songs and lots of new ones.

Yes, most definitely! We sing some strange ones, particularly 'baby chants' about Bumblebees with bagpipes and the like! I have three sisters, and we have all taught these 'family' songs to our children. I'm guessing that my aunts may also have shared this with their children. We are a very musical family (of primarily Scottish heritage) and these songs have been in our family for generations.

When I was younger my mother would sing me old songs that my grandmother sang on the radio, if that counts. I often sing those songs and other random songs to my little brother when he can't sleep. He loves Elephant Parade's Boat Song. ^^ I don't have a family, but if I ever do I'll teach them my Grandmothers songs. I'd like it if turned out to be musical people as well.
