  • Any gun that uses a nonpowder projectile launching trigger, notably tazer weapons or two-way momentum systems that are airtight (I think there is a bazooka) however the effectiveness of the weapon will probably be deteriorated underwater. If you're asking about bullets into or through water, at about 6 feet deep, bullets becomes significantly less lethal and the fastest moving bullets actually don't make it through inches of water because of their impact with the surface.
  • i am not anware of any gun designed to fire underwater. they conceptually could fire because the cartrige is water tight. would depend on whether the firing pin would be slowed too much by the water. however the bullet would be uncontrolable and velocity would be greatly reduced. you planning on shooting fish?
  • any gun with out powder. aslong as it is fully submerged and there are no air bubbles. semi automatic pistols can only fire once.
  • spear guns, your going to start having problems doing that, you don't want to do that somebodys going to get hurt, you know the only stupid questions asked, are the questions you never asked. if you don't know ask man, it don't hurt to ask especially about guns
  • The Russians invented a flechette firing assault rifle in the 60's that is capable of firing about... 40 or so needles underwater lethally. Check world.guns.ru They have an article on it.
  • A Glock fitted with Maritime Spring Cups is capable of firing underwater.
  • AK47s are waterproof
  • A Spear GUN?
  • The HK416.
  • An M416.
  • All modern guns with a sealed cartridge. However most automatically loading weapons will not reload properly.
  • All modern cartridge firearms will fire under water. They will be ineffective at any distance.
  • Soviet sub-machine gun for underwater combat. No, it uses special ammo based on AK cartridges. The trick was to make the dart long enough to stop intensive cavitation. It uses 5.45Ñ…39 cartridges with 120mm steel needles instead of bullets and has no rifling in the barrel.
  • I have seen both the Glock 26 and 19 fired underwater but both were modified with the special firing pin cup designed for underwater use. regular ball ammo can cause damage up to 8 feet. While I expected the barrel to be damaged, apparently there is enough gas bypassing the bullet to clear the water out of the short barrel before it impedes the passage of the bullet. Longer barrels or different designs such as gas operated rifles may have catastrophic failures.
