Hi, I'm trying to hook my laptop up to my TV. My laptop has Vista. I'm connecting it to the TV with an S video cable. I'm getting sound and picture, but the trouble is the picture is black and white on the TV. How do I fix this?

It sounds more like a dodgy cable than a setting. I'd try a new cable.

Right click on your desktop->Properties->Settings-> advanced. go to properties select the TV tab or monitor there is a drop down select one of the listed NTSC or PAL
