  • To always be respectful to others.
  • Everyone on AB should have a name and not be anonymous so the questions belong to someone not a multitude of someones.
  • If you already know the answer, don't ask the bloody question. (This goes in regards to personal matters. Too many times I've answered the question and have received the response of..."Well, I want to do this..." Why'd you ask if you know what you want to do?)
  • To comment when you downrate you spineless cowards.
  • Keep the gutter language at home and be respectful of others opinions because that is just what it is....their opinion.
  • I would make it a duty for a down rater to give a reason for every down rate he or she gives. I think this would also help prevent DR abuse. When you flag a question or an answer, you have to give a reason. Why can't the same thing be applied to ratings?
  • I think every one should have to pick a name no more anon, etc. Don't DR. unuless you comment.
  • How about to force the person answering to actually read the question first? And then, after that, make sure the answer pertains to the question!
  • To always put a question mark at the end of their question and to say Thank You when someone answers their question. I like politeness. :)
  • Kill the gangland style drama. Don't invite all your friends to the party to defend you, if you can't defend yourself cork it. The drama is bad enough on its own. Sorry, I know it sounds impolite and harsh, but asking nicely has not worked :) I am certain that most AB'ers have been guilty as sin in this respect--myself included. It has no place here and brings out the worst in otherwise lovely people.
  • to answer the question with an answer not a question
  • One rule?? dang, that is tough. I think I would have to go with no trolling or Dr adn running. But there are so many great rules that could be put into place to make this awesome AB and even more amazing AB.
  • to respect other peoples opinions whether you agree with it or not!
  • Express yourself politely or your contribution will be deleted.
  • I would just totally do away with "down-rating". All it seems to do is make people mad and get on peoples nerves. If you disagree, just don't answer. When most ABers ask a question, they are asking for someone else's OPINION. Opinions can't be wrong. I think it would totally stop "trolling". But, then again, someone always finds another way to harrass the people they don't like.
  • Don't give out - sign's just because you don't agree!
  • Play nice.
  • DR'ings accompanied by comments. Allowing people to DR without a comment doesn't make any sense to me. It's like moderating a question from one category to another without understanding the point of moderating in the first place. Maybe it's just me.
  • One rule? I think a few more are in order, actually. And it seems a lot of people have the same idea. I think that everyone should be required to create a user name....no more "anonymous." I think they should either do away with DRs, or not allow someone to DR without leaving a comment. There should be some way to block someone from using the same user name as someone else (like the trolls do when they clone someone, in particular. I know everyone has differing opinions, but those who post Q&A in order to stir up arguments and are disrespectful, rude and obnoxious all of the time should get their accounts suspended.
  • only downgrade a post if there is profanity or extremely offensive material in it
  • Respect the opinions of others as their's without harsh negative comments, or arguing about pointless things for the sake of salving your ego by always thinking you are correct about everything. Ohhh and not being rude.
  • Learn how to spell and to use a dictionary if you have any doubts. Make sure you post your questions as questions, not statements.
  • Thou shalt not attack other users for petty reasons. Come to think of it, thou shalt not attack other users for any reason at all. Don't stoop to their level.
