Due to the limitations of a standardized keyboard and conventional web text boxes I'm not sure if you are asking for the sequence 1/2 * n or 1 / (2n) so I'll list both and cross my fingers that you aren't asking for someone to do your homework. 1/2, 1, 3/2, 2, 5/2... and so forth for the former as an arithmetic progression. 1/2, 1/4, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10... and so forth for the latter which cannot be described as a first-order arithmetic or geometric progression. The name for the latter currently escapes me, but consider that the differences between terms are diminishing and asymptotically approaching 0 as is the sequence itself, and I believe there is a term for that. Their sum also asymptotically approaches 1 and I think there is a name for that as well.
