i think you should get a new phone. Unless this one's magical.

I've never had one come out of the washer ok. I've learned to pay the extra $5 for replacement insurance! lol I've done this (among other things) a lot!

Take the sim card out of the phone and lay it flat to dry for a few days. The phone is dead. RIP. Oh Gina that sucks, I am sooo sorry. But take the sim card to the phone store and see if they can retrieve anything. I once had an entire bottle of Pepto spill inside my purse and soak my phone, but magically the sim card was okay.

Simcard should be fine -would take it out if haven't already lol

Cell phones are weird beasts. Pull all the pieces apart you can think of, and gently remove as much moisture as you can get access to with a lint-free cloth. There's probably a 10% chance it may come back to life, if you give it enough time to dry out (say a week or so). Your SIM card, however, has a much better chance. It's either PROM or EPROM, meaning it's just a chip that contains data. I'd give you a 90% chance that all you have to do is pull it, dry it with a lint-free cloth, and transfer it to your new phone, and it should work fine.

Hmmm. I'm assuming it's been wet for a long time now.. but next time (if ever there is a next time), try using a blower.. my friend used it once when his phone fell on the toilet bowl, it worked (though he din't want to use it anymore) :P P.S. I'm serious :)

It'll take a long time to dry out.. but should work again sometimes in the future!

The sim card will work in another phone and it depends on the phone if it will dry out and work or not. I have done this many of times. It happens.

allow it to dry for 2 days.

If someone ever does this, first think you do is REMOVE the battery ASAP and DO NOT try to turn it on. Remove the back, open up any slots and pull out your trusty hair dryer. Set the temp on HIGH and the blower to LOW OR MED (you don't want to force water somewhere else!) and let the hot air help evaporate as much moisture as possible. Then set the phone aside for a day or two and then reinsert the battery and see if it turns on. I washed my PDA phone and it miraculously came back to live within 24 hrs using this technique!
