Too cold. Once the fall turns cold they disappear and my husband and I can't find any snakes to play with. We have a few locations where they are always to be found, usually sunning themselves on the rocks at our stream crossing. Those are our 'play with' snakes. Then there are some water snakes and the Eastern hognose snakes that sun themselves around the pond. Those we do NOT play with. They are vicious! They have no sense of humor or play:-(

- I like to play with snakes, too. Especially the little green ones, they are so pretty. Moccasins and Copperheads have no sense of humor either, moccasins are downright nasty and copperheads are beautiful, but, I found out firsthand,they like to play dead.

- Oh oh! Most of our nasty snakes throw their mouths wide open and then come forward at us. Not very friendly! And some of those get huge and thick, very scary when they chase you! lol!!! Nice to see another snake player:-)

- the cane toad outbreak was restricted to northern Australia I live down south in a city called Adelaide, it's very similar to France in terms of weather therefore the cane toad has difficulty surviving.

I saw a big garder snake about 2' from my frog hangout. I chased it, it went under a sidewalk block, but now i have 1 frog missing since then.

Yep. Saw a Tiger snake creep up on a Robin Redbreast sitting on top of a 5 foot fence post. Slid up the post and 'whack' feathers. Snake was about 8 foot long

saw a brown snake in guam. not native to the area from what i understand, they were brought in somehow and are now terrorizing the province. they can literally stand on there tails. there is an actual customs task force with little jack russel terriors to sniff em out. crazy huh?? we were trying to launch jets and we didnt get approved until this tiny little snake sniffing dog came and checked our planes.

The last time I saw one was about two years ago. I ran along the side of a hill then up the hill, then back around at the top where I was. I then let my mom dad and brother know it was there. lol
