I prefer US Representative democracy -- I like the three branches of gov't... judiciary, executive, and congress -- the president is not a law maker, and the congress and the judiciary keep an eye on the president... in a parliamentary system, the Prime Minister gets to vote on policy, and usually the Prime Minister's party lines up carte blanche behind him or her. But if the Prime Minister has a minority, it can take a long time to form a gov't -- and sometimes, the coalition will fail within months, and a new election has to be called.
