i think that obama has a very creative way of arranging his answers so that they appeal to whomever he's speaking to at the time....he has not contradicted himself enough to get busted....YET; i just watched a clip of bill clinton earlier speaking about him and saying that he used to vote against certain issues until recently and now his votes have started matching hillary's; it's hard to figure out just exactly where he stands based on his own beliefs; i'd like to see him stop agreeing with what "we" think and tell us what HE thinks!

The reality is that Clinton does not represent the status quo,and is extreme in many ways.Obama is more the status quo and is already showing in the voting.She,compared to Obama ,would not make a good president.

The media are jumping on the Obama bandwagon because he is "news" (i.e. he will get them ratings). The mainstream media (and its corporate supporters) largely can't see past the next ratings period. For the same reason, Keith Olbermann can rip corporate media, corporate America and corporate crony politicians...so long as MSNBC makes money on him doing it. Furthermore, while Obama has portrayed himself as an agent of change, nothing I've seen/read about him indicates that he is pushing for truly radical flip-the-Corporate-Hegemony change. Sure, he wants to (finally) end the occupation of Iraq. He wants to slightly shift the tax burden off of the middle class. He wants to provide some semblance of universal health care. But Obama is not talking big change, like reinstating the Fairness Doctrine. Or passing a Constitutional Amendment to overturn Buckley v. Valeo (the "Money equals speech" court decision). Or withdrawing from GATT, NAFTA and the WTO until labor and environmental side agreements are actually signed and implemented. So, the Powers That Be see Obama (unlike true radicals like Kucinich or Paul) as someone they can live with and, in the meantime, exploit for ratings. . . .
