There's only one way to find out, pull the trigger.

No, even being within the impact radius ( 1 meter ) will fatally wound the conventional human.

Mom? Is that you?

Only if he or she wants too.

How can a person live with a basketball sized hole in his chest.
-
chances of living after being shot with a 50cal are very unlikley for one if you are out in the field you don't have much of a chance, if hit in the chest with a 50.cal and you had a non penetrating bullit proof vest the hydrastatic shock alone would kill you the sheer force of such a blow would leave a fatal bruise on your chest it would be like having a hyraulic press, squeeze your insides . and even if you were hit any where else the impact would blow off limbs shoulders and if hit in the head and if you were wearing a helmet, the helmet would kill you, the round would hit the helmet and the straps if they didn't break would squash your wind pipe, or better yet rip your chin through your neck, i know the new helmets have a four point sinching system that are not supposed to decapitate you. I would not want to get hit with a 50.cal period any bullit for that matter. i know that the hydrostatic shock from high powered guns could kill you any where they hit you.

It is possible but unlikely. If you get hit on a limb and manage to get adequate treatment for shock (and likely a tourniquet) you might have a chance. A torso hit will likely be fatal, usually instantly. As for head hits, forget it. Grey mist. Your mind will wander... downwind

well..its possible but probably not likely. its not the initial hole (which would be huge)..but the tremendous shock and the area covered by the shock. then theres the hole and then if it takes out a major organ or a major artery or two. and then the blood loss.etc id say the chances are about 1 in a 100,000 or more. even press operators in a shop have died from having a single finger crushed by the tremendous pressure of the press, from the shock.

If you can die from a 22 bullet, you can die from any gun.
