Your suppose to shut off your car when you fill your gas tank (don't you see that sign at pumps saying 'please turn off your car')

My first guess would be the relay has failed. Look in the fuse block under the hood and find the fuel pump relay. The fuse block is right behind the washer bottle filler. Remove it and see if the pump turns off. If it does, borrow another relay from the box and plug it in where the fuel pump relay was. If the pump stays off, you need a new relay. NOTE: The relays can be plugged in either way.
