  • Go into your router settings and set up the security. Then in your computer just look under wireless settings and plug in the same values
  • What model Linksys router do you have? It would depend on the hardware and firmware how secure you can make your wireless network. - Some basics would be to turn off SSID broadcasting, turn on a wireless encryption protocol either WEP, WPA, or WPA2 (in order of how secure they are last being the most secure). You can also set the router to have wireless MAC filtering which will only allow computers with the MAC addresses you list to connect to it. - If you are really worried that someone is trying to connect to your network. The only way is wired. A good hacker can get in to a wireless network in under 10 mins the exception is WPA2 (my best time is 22mins). - If you need help setting it up just comment and I will reply.
