I complete my teaching degree last year, got certified to teach, tried it for a semester and hated it. I no longer teach am I being selfish?

Yes. You're being COMPLETELY selfish because you're not spending time that belongs soley to you doing something you really don't want to do. You should be ashamed! =P

The first little while at any job can always be trying for some people and probably the worst since they're new at it. However not everyone is cut out for teaching; I know quite a few people who loved studying certain subjects/majors in school but hated actually working in the field. What specifically did you hate about it? Was it the people you were teaching?
