Very high fat for bird meat, and very greasy...but there's just something about eating a cute fluffy animal that makes it taste so good :)

I think that a properly prepared roast duck is the food of the gods. If I could afford it, I'd have it once or twice a week.

It's a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I haven't had a good plump roast duck dinner in so long. I wish I could have it for Thanksgiving this year.

Today, we went for the "Early Bird" special at this nice place. They had many offerings for the $13.95 complete dinner special and Roasted Long Island Duck with a Raspberry sauce was on the menu. Hubby and I both ordered the duck and it was delicious.

If done well, with crispy skin, I love it. But if it hasn't been done right, it can be a greasy mess. I love just a duck breast roasted. Simple and quicker.

I love it when it is prepared well. It is not something I eat often, but I do enjoy it from time to time.

Right behind my house in France a café did a magret de canard avec frites et demi litre de vin rouge for ten euros. It was delicious and I went all the time. You couldnt`beat it. It was a great night out. I took a good liking to magret, it`s delicious.
